Ibex Ethiopian Bar & Restaurant

Absolutely delicious! This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it did not disappoint. the service was wonderful, the food was hot and delicious, and the margaritas were strong! do not let the outside fool you, this is a hidden gem and if you want a phenomenal authentic ethiopian food experience, this is the place to go! 10/10 will be eating here again!!

Amazing! 5 stars is not high enough! I've had excellent Ethiopian food overseas and this was as good or better! Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious and spicy in exactly the right way! Nothing compares to good injera! Would definitely recommend even to anyone wanting to try Ethiopian cuisine, don't hesitate!

Found this little spot while I was in town. The staff is friendly and the food was tasty and well presented. I ordered the Doro Wot. It was packed with flavor and just enough spice to enhance the dish, but not so much as to make it painful to eat. The sauce was a beautiful slightly sweet tomato based sauce packed with unique spices and flavor that danced on the tongue. Floating in the dish came one chicken drumstick with meat that fell off the bone and a hard boiled egg. The perfect amount to both fill me up and have a little leftover for tomorrow’s lunch. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone interested in exploring Ethiopian cuisine in the area.

The food was amazing! I’ve had Ethiopian food in PA and it was not nearly as good! There were so much flavor in the dishes. The right amount of food! It was amazing! The people are nice and friendly! I highly recommend !

This was my first visit to Ibex. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was super friendly. Everything is made fresh. It took a little while, but I'm telling you it's worth the wait. My wife had the vegetarian platter and I had the LegaTibs. Both were amazing. I have the picture of the Lega Tibs attached. I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu in the coming months.I came back 2 days later and it's still amazing. I've added the menu.

From the outside, it could be a bit easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but once you enter, everything changes. I was greeted with fun festive music. The woman who took my order was extremely helpful and proud of what they had to offer. I had some idea of what I wanted to try and she helped me narrow things down. She also recommended the house-made wine. The food arrived quickly, and everything was excellent. The meat was well spiced and flavorful without being overly hot. Of the veggie sides that came with my order, the beets and the cabbage were definitely the stars. I will most definitely be back and will be bringing some friends with me. This place is a gem and deserves as much business as they can handle without losing their charm or their quality. Next time I will remember to take photos before diving in.

First time having Ethiopian food and what a great experience. Started with the Sambusa, which were fantastic. Wonderfully crispy on the outside with a robust and almost creamy lentil filling. Shared the Kintot dinner which I recommend. Great way to sample the different veggie options along with a slightly spicy and flavorful beef stew.Staff was great and very helpful!

My husband and I came here for lunch. They weren’t busy and we were seen right away. Very chill atmosphere. Delicious food! I was amazed how they made basic veggies like beets, cabbage, carrots and lentils taste so fantastic. We don’t live close, but we’ll be back!
